03/14 Message for Descendant

–Greetings, mighty Descendants.

After the announcement and release of our previous update, the Daraku Gear team will begin actively working with players to discuss future changes via these pre-update announcements, as well as on our social media accounts (links to our Discord forum and Facebook feed provided below).

This update included numerous changes, including fixes to in-game value systems, reducing training thresholds, adjusting growth curves for Auto and Exclusive Gears, and more. It involved a rather large-scale overhaul of the game’s mechanics, and our team has improved upon said changes thanks to the positive input and suggestions from our players.

Therefore, our team hopes to improve our rollout of future updates after the launching of these newly adjusted, and more balanced, game mechanics, while also allowing players to gradually discover different, more personalized styles of gameplay as they hone their Senki-training skills.

Optimizing Daily Stage Item Drops for Auto Gear Upgrade Materials

We plan to make further adjustments according to observations of players’ progress and their feedback; such adjustments will include changes to item drops, which will result in a more balanced progression when leveling up Auto Gears.

Optimizing Weekly & Daily Quests

Our team aims to improve the cost-reward benefit for Weekly and Daily quest item drops, resetting Trophies and Story quests not only to offer veteran players a chance to claim the newly set rewards, but also to provide new players with a smoother start. These changes need to be made in stages, and based on observations on new players’ reactions, we have decided to begin adjusting the Weekly and Daily quests. Further details will be announced before the next update.

New Stages & New Ranking Mechanics

After readjusting the in-game value system, we are adding another challenging stage—Road to Demonopolis—to keep veteran players on their toes. Not only will it include more limited-event content, but it will also act as the test-run for a newly proposed ranking system. Our team is planning to offer fellow Descendants longer stages accessible by spending small sums of Energy, and through the ranking system, allow all players to share their Senki-disciplining prowess with the community, and instill awe among the Nymph’s inhabitants.

How points will be allocated in this ranking system is still being considered, but for now, it will involve not only meeting conditions for stages’ Star rewards, but also the number of enemy waves a player overcomes, total time spent in battle, and other factors. Naturally, our most elite Descendants might reach a tie, in which case the system would prioritize the player with the most combat victories under their belt.

Optimizing Display of Stage & Squad Info

As stages become more challenging and strategy-focused, players will be able to preemptively browse stage information detailing enemy encounters, their wave composition, and comparing the effects of both warring sides’ abilities.

In the current version, after topping on the player avatar, effect details can be viewed by long pressing the icon in the information bar. Despite this, however, there is still room for optimization, such as optimizing the display of enemy details to make it clearer.

For the next update, our team has also decided to provide a clearer and more intuitive way to view information, so that players can play a more commanding role during the changing tides of a battle, which will likewise be beneficial dealing with the more difficult stages being added in the future.

On the Gear info screen, more detailed information will be added regarding the source of certain Gear attributes (i.e. how a Senki’s Training, Bond, and other stats affect such attributes), allowing players to more easily understand how Senkis and Gears influence each other’s stats.

Optimizing Recruit Mechanics

Since launching Daraku Gear, we have collected player feedback concerning both limited-event and permanent recruits.

Among these suggestions, a main concern is the need to optimize the SSR rewards that players can claim after reaching one hundred Recruit draws. Therefore, our team is planning to apply a gacha system. For example, any current increased chances of recruiting a particular SSR reward can be reduced, thereby increasing the player’s chance of actually recruiting something that they want. We continue exploring ways on how to optimize Recruit mechanics in order to make it a more exciting experience for players.

Survey Results

Our social media forums have been a great conduit for gauging the Daraku Gear community’s response to our special in-game events, but we also wish to deepen our commitment to understanding players’ needs through online surveys.

From recent survey results, we have learned that most of you are highly satisfied with both the game’s 2D and 3D graphics. Some also hope to see additional 2D content in the future.

Therefore, more 2D elements will be released in future special events, even replacing event character rewards with saucy Memory content. Even better, Japanese character voices will also be added to provide a more titillating experience for our dedicated Descendants.

There’s no doubt that 3D is Daraku Gear’s strong suit, so we will continue providing new 3D Senki training content, along with new mechanics and displays for the Training Room. Further details will be provided in future announcements.

Future Events

We expect that some time will be needed for fine-tuning all of these changes, so for now, no large-scale updates are planned for April. However, special events are being prepared like the highly anticipated Qingming Festival (or Tomb Sweeping Day) and possibly the more international Children's Day. Our team looks forward to celebrating at least one of these festivals with all of you!

Additionally, we’re starting to design 2D material catering to player ideas and feedback, so sit tight for the release of some more sexy, limited-event storylines and Senki content.

So that’s all for future update plans. Thank you for stopping by, and we wish our Descendants happy Senki training and ultimate victory on your “Road to Demonopolis”!
